Friends of the Library

Who are we?

The Friends of the Hamilton Public Library, Inc. (FOL) is a group of citizens in our community who are concerned with the library’s well-being: its active expansion and participation in community life.

On July 1st the Friends regretfully bid farewell to three outstanding Board members as their terms expired. David Hopper, Debbie White, and Emily Hutton-Hughes will certainly be missed, but we happily welcome three new board members, Barbara Albrecht, Jennifer Latreille, and Suzanne Watson. We are looking forward to a fabulous year!

As of September 1st the Friends acquired the book sale area located in the library at the Broad Street entrance. The continuous sale has been renamed the “Book Nook”, and we will be working with a contractor to make it more attractive and functional.

Our current fundraiser is a raffle for a beautiful swivel rocking chair crafted by Daniel Ray Stoltzfus and Sons from Custom Woodcraft in Munnsville N.Y. The chair comes with a lovely cushion. Tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased at the Library or from a Friends Board Member. The drawing will be held at the Library on February 21st at 11.

Please help the Friends support the library by purchasing a ticket.

With your help, the Friends can continue to help the library enhance services, programs, and facilities in the future.
