Positive customer service interactions are a must, as well as a handle on the technology utilized by staff and patrons alike.
Here’s the gist. We’re looking for someone who can work a few evenings a week and one Saturday a month. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: general upkeep of library collections, materials, and spaces; basic record keeping associated with library services and programs; referring patrons to appropriate resources or use of equipment; providing individual assistance to meet the needs and abilities of our patrons; creation and maintenance of patron accounts… you know, that kind of thing.
Must have a passion for libraries and the delivery of outstanding services, good attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures consistently, ability to express ideas clearly verbally and in writing, flexibility to embrace shifting approaches and practices, and, oh yeah, excellent organizational skills!
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma is required. Experience in libraries preferred.
