By the time you are reading this, our Summer Reading Program has officially come to an end. But more on that next week. Why am I bringing it up? Because we tried out a LOT of new programs this summer, and while some were hits and some misses, some of our best feedback came from our Escape Rooms.
For those that are not aware, an Escape Room is a team-based problem-solving experience where you solve puzzles, find clues, and complete a goal within a limited amount of time. Over the summer, we purchased an Escape Room kit that comes with thousands of programmable situations. Well wouldn’t you know it but folks seemed to enjoy these events! Kids, Teens, and Adults all seemed to agree that these are worthwhile endeavors.
Due to everyone’s love for these programs, we are bringing them out of the summer and into the fall! I know we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves, but Tuesday, September 10 at 6 p.m. is an Adult Escape Room here at the library, and Saturday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. is a Teen Escape Room, also in the library. Bring a friend or two to see if you have what it takes, or show up and make some new friends! For more information, stop in or call – our number is below!
In other ‘Just Because Summer’s Over’ news, just because summer’s over it doesn’t mean the library’s Saturday hours are changing! June marked the start of our new hours as follows: Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. We will keep these hours for the foreseeable future, and only change them around if/when we have sufficient data to support another change. Sound good? Alright. Well, thanks for reading and have a great day!
