By the time you’re reading this, it may be too late… to come to our book sale, that is! This weekend – on Friday, August 31 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, September 1 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Friends of the Hamilton Public Library are holding their annual book sale!
Surely there’s a child in your life that has an interest in something. Why not help them develop or research that interest with a book on that subject? As most items are priced at $1 or less, you could earn yourself some brownie points at very little cost to you. All proceeds from this sale go directly to the Friends of the Library who support literacy programs, sponsor events, and even renovate our building from time to time!
In addition to the book sale, our September events calendar is filling up! We have a number of new offerings that we’re really excited about this Fall. First, we’re trying out a kids’ drop-in crafting corner. Stop in any time to assemble a pre-made crafting project. All the supplies are found in the children’s area and will rotate out every two weeks.
We also have Chair Yoga with Kriss Young of Hamilton’s The Zen Den on hand September 10 from 10 – 11 a.m. Join us and gain strength, length, explore your breath, learn poses, and meditate. Space will be limited in this free course, so please call the library to reserve your spot!
For kids, we’ll be hosting a Tabletop Gaming Day on September 15 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Stop in and learn games from Dungeons & Dragons to Magic: The Gathering. Friendly folks will be on hand to show you the ropes. No registration necessary, there will be snacks, and is open for kids ages 9-15.
