Save money on your next day trip by visiting the Hamilton Public Library before you go! You can already check out passes to the Stone Quarry Art Park in Cazenovia and the Utica Children’s Museum. Now we, and the Friends of the Library, are delighted to offer you passes to the Fenimore Art Museum and Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown at the same, great, free rate (to our patrons) for the 2018-2019 season! The Fenimore/Farmers’ passes will be limited to two adults and up to four children per visit. Two passes are available.
What? That’s not enough for you? Fine! We’ll also let you checkout a New York State Empire Pass, which grants your vehicle entry into most New York State parks, forests, beaches, and trails! Two of these passes are ALSO available!
For a full list of the parks that qualify for the Empire Pass, or any other questions you may have, visit our website and click on the “Special Collections” tab, then on “Museum Passes.” All of our museum/park passes check out for one week and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Call the library or stop in to see how you can enjoy amazing local museums and parks, all you need is your library card!
Lastly, we want to make sure that you remember our upcoming Children’s Book Sale, slated for Labor Day weekend! This sale is our Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale, and we will be collecting children and teen books starting on Monday, August 13. As stated in a previous column, this is a change from our traditional sale for a variety of reasons, but we are excited to continue to offer a sale to our patrons in some fashion.
Thank you for reading and have a great day!
