We’re trying something new here at the library next month, a book club! I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “they’re always trying something new at the library. This Travis guy writes 350 words every week about new and exciting things, and frankly I’m getting sick of it.” I get it. And then you’re also probably thinking “a book club? That concept is hardly new… There must be some kind of catch.” Well, dear thinker slash reader, there is.
THIS book club is part of a larger community reading project, and we joining forces with the Hamilton Area Community Coalition and the Colgate Bookstore to bring your our Book of the Month, “How Full is Your Bucket?”
The book, by Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton, Ph.D. will be discussed here at the library on May 18 at 5:30 p.m., featuring a free gift and prize drawing! Read the #1 New York Times Bestseller that seeks to unlock the positive power in the printed word! This book was selected as it was recently highlighted in all levels of Hamilton Central School’s ‘Kindness Project,’ where students filled a giant bucket with positive notes to each other and their teachers.
Copies of the book can be checked out from the library and are available for purchase at the Colgate Bookstore. This event is open to all ages and is also available as a kids’ picture book and audiobook.
See you on the 18th! Of May. And hopefully before then, many times over.
